INTEGRATION OF AN OPENFOAM EXTENSION TO SKETCHUP BASED ON RUBY PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE

The project presents an OpenFOAM extension to the so-called SketchUp 3D modelling software based on Ruby Programming language. The extension is a plug-in that can be used to create and run an OpenFOAM case in a fully interactive framework without any need of file manipulation; it is a sort of automation of the OpenFOAM creation process. The plug-in currently supports only specific types of applications such as indoor, outdoor, incompressible aerodynamics, internal flows, and heat transfer in solids, but is extendable to many more applications.
