APPLICATION OF LAGRANGIAN CONDITIONAL MOMENT CLOSURE METHOD FOR TURBULENT NONPREMIXED COMBUSTION IN OPENFOAM

A Lagrangian-CMC model was developed and applied to OpenFOAM to analyze turbulent non-premixed flames.The developed solver was applied to Sandia Flame, Bluff-body flame, and Diesel Engine. The second order closure was applied to Sandia Flame to maximize the analytical performance, and the results were close to the experimental values. Even when applied to the Bluff-body, CO OH H2, which were slow species, were estimated to approximate the experimental value. The number of flame groups in the diesel-engine was increased and the results were almost identical to the experimental data.
