DEVELOPMENT OF COUPLED MATRIX-FREE LU-SGS SOLVER FOR TURBULENT COMPRESSIBLE FLOWS
The paper deals with the development of the density-based implicit method for solving compressible flows based on the matrix-free LU-SGS scheme. Convective terms are approximated using Godunov type fluxes (e.g. AUSM) whereas viscous terms use standard OpenFOAM built-in approach. The efficiency of the solver will be presented for 2D transonic and supersonic flows and finally some applications for turbomachinery flows will be presented.
