MHD Hypersonic Flow Control in OpenFOAM

The study focuses on the development of magnetohydrodynamic modification for an OpenFOAM hypersonic flow solver hy2Foam. The created application is used to simulate MHD control of hypersonic flow past bodies of different shapes. Computational results provide several insights into the interaction between a generated magnetic field and a non-equilibrium flor, which can be helpful for the development of an on-board MHD flow control system.
