Natural convection in square cavity in two cases: differentially heated and heated by bottom
The natural convection flow in the enclosures is commenly encountred in many engineering applications. And extensive studies by both experimental and numerical were conducted to understand the phenomena. In this study , the natural convection in square cavity (2D) is investigated under two heating conditions, once differentially heated, secondly heated by the bottom and cooled by the top, the other walls are taken adiabatic for both of cases. For Ra number ranging between 10 power 4 et 10 power 5. The results are compared with classical benchmark cases available in the lteratture finding a good agreement.
