IMPLEMENTATION OF OVERSET GRID IN OPENFOAM AND ITS APPLICATION TO SHIP MANEUVERING

In our presentation, I will make a brief introduction to the assembler TIOGA and the modification made to support OpenFOAM’s mixed polyhedra meshes. Together with the library TIOGA, we also developed two OpenFOAM based libraries libdynamicOversetMesh.so and liboversetFvPatchField.so, which are separately used to interface TIOGA and OpenFOAM based solver to update DCIs and to modify the lduMatrix or fields based on DCIs. Also included will be case workflow and implementations of the codes to PMM model test of the DTMB-5415 hull.
