Conference participants may need a Chinese visa to enter China. Participants can apply for a visa at the Chinese embassy or consulate in the region in which they live. To avoid uncertainty, participants will be advised to apply for a visa as early as possible. It is recommended that they apply for a Chinese visa at least 1 month in advance.
You need to visit the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (https://www.visaforchina.cn/globle/) and select your country and region on that website for visa processing.
You can follow the step-by-step guidance provided on the website homepage using the "Step By Step Guidance" link to fill out and submit the application form. Additionally, you can make an appointment, submit an application, or schedule an interview on the website.
To apply for the visa, you may need the following documents:
Passport: Your original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and blank visa pages. Also, provide a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if separate.
Visa Application Form and Photo: Complete the Visa Application Form online, print it, and sign it. Attach a recently-taken color passport photo (48mm x 33mm, bare-head, full face, against a light background).
Proof of Legal Status: If you're not applying in your country of citizenship, provide original and photocopy of valid certificates of residence, employment, student status, or other legal stay certificates from the relevant authorities of the country where the Visa Centre is located.
Photocopy of Previous Chinese Passports or Visas:
If you were a Chinese citizen and now have foreign citizenship, provide a photocopy of your previous Chinese passport's data page.
If you've had Chinese visas before and now have a new passport without Chinese visas, provide a photocopy of the previous passport's data and photo page, along with the previous Chinese visa page. If your name has changed, include an official document of name change.
Ensure you have these documents ready before proceeding with the application process.
