Genoa – Italy

OpenFOAM users, developers, and researchers will meet in Genoa, Italy,
from 11 to 14 July 2023, for the 18th OpenFOAM Workshop,
which will be held at the Polytechnic School of the University of Genoa and is
organized by the Department of Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering (DICCA),
with the collaboration of Wolf Dynamics.

Hybrid Event

Online participation is possible since the workshop is organized as a hybrid event. Still, we hope to meet you personally in Genoa, where we are going to offer you a unique experience being immersed in the largest historical center in Europe, one step away from the Ligurian Riviera. The Mediterranean lifestyle, culture, and beauty will be a unique source of inspiration for all participants, as well as the strong presence of naval and cruise industries and the deep involvement of the local workshop organizers in OpenFOAM outreach.

During this community-driven event, conference presentations and poster sessions will be held, together with presentations of work in progress. In addition to the conference aspect, training sessions on OpenFOAM Technology and other related software tools are held mostly from users for users. This underlines one of the goals of the workshop: bringing users, developers, and researchers together and providing a nurturing ground for open discussions and future projects.

“On behalf of the OpenFOAM Workshop Committee, we look forward to welcoming you, virtually and in person, to this exciting event”

Joel Guerrero and Jan Pralits
Conference Chairmen
